Long term care

Long Term Care

Help protect your future—and your financial independence.

If you or a loved one ever needs long term care, the out-of-pocket expenses could easily total thousands of dollars. That’s because provincial health insurance plans provide only limited coverage for long term care.

Long term care insurance from Royale British Columbia Financial Inc Insurance® helps to fill that gap, while also allowing you to reduce the burden on loved ones and maintain more control over your future.

Why do you need long-term care insurance?

Canadians are living longer than ever before, which is great news. But as we reach age 65, the likelihood of needing some form of long-term care support also grows.

If you become unable to care for yourself, or should the same happen to your spouse or parent, long term care—at either a facility or at home—may be necessary. With the high cost of care and the coverage gaps that exist in provincial health insurance plans, the expenses can be staggering.

Provincial health insurance plans simply don’t have the resources to pay the full cost of long term care, even in subsidized facilities. They offer NO coverage for private facility care, and pay only a limited amount for care at home. The expenses for private nursing, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc. will be largely your responsibility.

Over time, these expenses can add up to thousands of dollars. Without proper planning, the cost of long term care may quickly deplete your savings, assets and retirement income.

With long term care insurance from Royale British Columbia Financial Inc Insurance,  you’ll have the financial resources needed to help protect your future and preserve the financial independence you’ve worked so hard to achieve—even in the face of a serious health setback. We offer flexible plan choices that allow you to choose your care setting (facility or home), daily benefit amount, benefits period and much more.

Testimonials

I first met Frank several years ago through an exercise client of mine, who would later become his wife. He then became a client, himself. A while later, I was advised that I had a UPS pension that was coming to term. I told Frank about it, and he suggested that I transfer it out, so that it didn't stagnate until I was eligible to draw upon it. That was over five years ago. Since then, the investment portfolio has averaged an eight-percent return every year. I receive a status report every six months, and am very happy with the return. Frank has done a great job looking out for my interests. He is very knowledgeable, and has answered my questions on multiple occasions. I highly recommend him and his company.

Regarding Lindsay Cooper, the reviewer who gave a one-star rating, I don't think their reaction/comments were fair or appropriate. Cold-calling is one form of generating business for some companies. If it didn't work, no one would be doing it. It's not like they have products on a shelf at Walmart. Believe it or not, some people actually appreciate it, because they may have been wanting to invest, but didn't know where to start. Additionally, financial planning must be a worthwhile endeavor, considering Frank's been in the industry for over two decades.

Also, it is up to the individual to confirm what their call display says, not just assume. It is not a scam to have a name that is similar to another company. You just have to actually read it.
